The Pocono Soap People
Tina spends a lot of her time making the thousands of bars of soap that we produce each year. When she's not making soap, you can find her in the gift shop ready to help you find that perfect item. Or, she's probably drinking tea and reading a book somewhere!
As beekeepers, we are always trying to think of fun things to do with the honey that our hives produce. After a lot of experimenting, we came up with the perfect honey lip balm recipe. We began to sell it at the counter at our bakery, Kitchen Chemistry, and before long it was selling out. That inspired us to try new flavors and expand to other products.
We found a shop in a beautiful building built in the mid 1800's, right off of Main Street. We knew immediately that it was perfect for our soap shop. Since the day we opened the doors in August 2014, we have had a great time, meeting excellent people. We look forward to see our local returning customers again and again, as well as meeting new customers who are visiting the Poconos.
The little Honey lip balm inspired Pocono Soap in many ways. We are proud to be a fun place to shop for gifts, and/or learn how to make your own!
Lisa and Amanda are the Mother/Daughter duo behind Pocono Soap!
Amanda manages the merchandise and finds all the goodies for the store!
Lisa teaches most of our classes, she is our original "Soaper" and can answer almost any question about soap making that you can throw at her!
